Accurate Accounting of Print Services

Can we account only the actually printed pages as well as based on toner coverage?

SafeQ enables the accounting of the exact number of actually printed pages (online print and copy accounting) as well as accounting based on toner coverage per page. By combining these two terms, we come to the term "accurate accounting", i.e. the provision of accurate accounting of every single pixel printed.

Accurate Accounting with SafeQ

support of several currencies (incl. Euro)

SafeQ supports print accounting on network printers, print volume monitoring on local printers and the accounting of copies. With every output, it records the type (e.g. black and white network print), duplex print, page count (with colouring differentiation); the output is accounted to users, centres, devices and/or projects.

Online Print and Copy Accounting

When using online accounting, the server communicates with the printer during print and determines the exact number of pages that have been actually printed. With jobs cancelled by the user and/or jobs that have not been printed completely due to jammed paper etc., SafeQ accounts only the pages actually printed. This is something that no other product on the market is able to do.

Offline Print and Copy Accounting

When using offline accounting, a job is accounted immediately upon its delivery to the printer depending on the number of pages this job contains. Should print be interrupted or, on the contrary, if a printer prints more pages than what the job contained, the system does not recognise this.

As-per-coverage accounting

Accounting as per page coverage with toner is done based on an analysis of the processed job in a specific resolution. The higher the resolution, the more accurate the accounting. When accounting CMYK, SafeQ can differentiate between colour and black toner coverage. This function is only supported for PCL, POSTSCRIPT, HPGL and RTL print languages.
